Meaningless Chatter

Meaningless Chatter

I'm too tired to write down the bones.

My ears are ringing and my eyes feel like clones.

My skeleton is padded with too many words.

Fatty clumps of adjectives sticking like curds.

And nouns abound 'round my skinny ribs.

Conjunctions join the twins in the cribs.

Another verb and I'm swimming in gunk.

A few more pronouns we'll stick on my trunk.

Just meaningless chatter that jitters my nerves.

More paper to look at or stick on my curves.

I know I am grateful for all you have done.

But listening to paragraphs isn't much fun.

I love you brothers and know you are fine.

Writing down words doesn’t take any time.

Eight minutes to write on this wintery day.

I've written things down, now I'm going on my way.

Goodbye.

Janet E. Collins
ONE PATH HOME”

by Janet Collins

A Wonderful Book,”

Someone handed me this book at one of my book signings, saying it was a love story based on A COURSE IN MIRACLES. People hand me books all the time, but with this one I immediately took notice. I knew I wanted to read it. And when I did, I savored every page. Here is a great adventure story, a juicy love story, and a serious treatise on A Course in Miracles all rolled into one. And it's a page turner. Janet Collins understands A COURSE IN MIRACLES, and she understands love. I would read anything she writes. I'm a total fan.”

Higher Than That

Higher Than That

Who or what is watching the watcher?

A watch is a time-keeper - but what's beyond time?

A time to laugh and a time to cry? Why?

Higher than That or “I am” or of God.

Beyond all thought on this sickly sod.

A sod soaked in symptoms of sinning and death.

needs wringing dry from the simpering cry,

Why me? Why them? Why any thing here?”

Keep letting it go. Undo every fear.

Only love lifts us higher . . . higher than That.

No symbols to cling to. Not even a hat

To shield the mind from figuring out

who's in charge of this dream. Who has the clout?

Forget analyzing who's awake or asleep.

Forget that you're human. There's nothing to keep.

You're higher than That. Keep letting it go.

Know nothing. Sit back and just watch the show.

It's already over.

COMING HOME

She yearned to get back to her roots - to come home.

As she left England to begin the arduous journey to Lobitos, Peru, her thoughts were dedicated to returning to that small village on the seashore where she was born.

Ann landed in Boston, bought a pop-top Volkswagen camper and drove across America to visit with me, her sister, in California. After a short rest, she continued down to Panama where, unfortunately, her van was totally trashed by local thieves. Determined to continue, she hitch-hiked alone through the very dangerous bandit-ridden territory of Colombia, Ecuador and Peru - until she reached Lobitos.

When Ann arrived, she was horrified to find her beloved birthplace surrounded by walls, wire and fearsome army machine gunners.

"NO. YOU CAN NOT COME IN!"
No amount of pleading would change their minds.

Devastated, she turned and trudged back down the dusty desert road. Seeing what had once been an adobe church, now half-covered with sand, she retreated down the steps into the serenity of the chapel. Looking around the small one-room sanctuary, she was drawn to the light coming from the open shell of a window at the other end of the room. There she could make out the silhouette of a man.

As she drew closer, she could see that he was dressed in a suit - a business man. Filled with anguish, she whimpered to him in Spanish that "They wouldn't let me in! They wouldn't let me come home." He replied that he too was devastated. He had come a long way to re-visit a place where he had worked for a man who was so wonderful in teaching him everything; giving him inspiration to be all that he could be.

She asked, "Who was that man?"
He answered, "Robert Collins."
She gasped in amazement, "That was my father!"

Overcome by the miracle of it all, tears streaming down their faces, they joyfully embraced in that Holy Instant - a divine re-union.
In pure love and gratitude, it was done.
They had finally "Come home."

Just being silly . . .

Just being silly . . .

Are you a small seeking selfish shadow of a seemingly special separate self sometimes shivering in the shame of a seemingly sinful son of man?
Take sure steps with Spirit and symbolically stand in the sublime serenity of the Son of God.

Sincerely, Sister

Another Story

Another Story

Just another story

about me and my glory.

No matter what I say

just throw it all away.

I'm here and I am something.

You're there and you are nothing.

The jewel in this dilemma

is hiding in the cellar.

Bring dark into the light.

Sit back with all your might

and listen to His Word.

The answer's not absurd.

There's no solution here.

Where is your mind my dear?

Like raindrops in the snow,

your thoughts just come and go.

Go where?” your body cries.

Who knows how one denies

the Truth of one's True being

It's not there or between.

It floats up in the sky

and sees the clouds roll by.

But chew on nothing now.

You're not a goat or cow!

Stay light. Stay love. Stay joy.

And do not keep one toy

to root you to the earth.

It's time for your re-birth.

Playing with laughter

Playing with laughter

Gray, blue, orange and red.
Colours of autumn dance in my head.
Jumping Jacks and a hoola hoop,
Ducks in a pond – lots of green poop!

Clean up your act. Begin once again.
Laugh about writing and pick up your pen.
Nothing means no thing, so where am I at?
Playing with a mustache. My furry cat.

Good for you girl; you're free here at last.
Your words are expanding away from the past.
It's funny you're writing with nothing to say.
Do you think you are something or writing a play?

This play has four acts – all woven within.
Laughing and snorting was never a sin.
Blurping and sizzling your journey through life.
You'll end up in Heaven without any strife.
Amen

PEOPLE PODS

PEOPLE  PODS

What an amazing people pod of creative genius sits in this room with me.
Ideas and words tinkling down from the ever-present universe.
Sounds of subtle music, heard from ions ago, filter through my being.
Who am I with?
Is this all me?
Delightful images of relationships with brothers all mingle into a glacial symphony of sound.
Ohm . . . m . . . m

We are swimming in a blue-green sea,
exploring things which will never be.
Enjoying the essence of you and me
as One.
Red, orange, yellow
green and purple
pods of mystery drift onward in eternal rings of joy.
One people pod
expressing God.

Please begin

Please begin and end with loving thoughts.
No conflict is welcome in my mind.
Let each moment open to what is.
Let each heart beat with one accord.

Please begin and end with the peace of God.
No war is welcome in my soul.
Let each moment speak with words of Truth.
Let each breath release the sound of joy.

Please begin and end with nothing from the past.
No grievance is welcome from my lips.
Let each moment inspire my brother.
Let each sigh be a letting go.

Please begin and end with no plans;
No anticipation of things to come.
Let each moment be here and now.
Let each prayer just take me home.

Please begin and end.

Amen"

Starting Now

Starting now in the midst of oppression.
Starting now I’m writing a session
Of mystical thinking that’s really not me.
I’m singing and hanging from yon maple tree.

Starting now I am following my Lord.
No longer on earth plane, I’m in one accord
With love, joy and laughter
and peace ever after.
I’m dancing my thoughts.

Starting now, I am loving you all.
There’s no stopping me, chopping me
 or making me fall
For ego’s illusions of defense and attack.
I’m staying on course kid
because there’s no lack
of starting Me now.

"God Night, My Love"

                                        " God Night, my love."

                                       It’s 3 am, I’m wide awake.
My mirror shows an old lady.
Another chance for me to shake
my thoughts of death that are so shady

That I forgot to laugh with joy,
Or jump with glee at thoughts of God
Who is my Savior, my envoy,
Who keeps me safe above the sod.

It’s “HELP! Show me! Thank you my Lord”

Beyond this frame, this cloak of fear,
I am not guilty of discord.

“Forgive and bless yourself, my dear.”

                                                    I search my mind
                                                     and there I find,
“How may I help you Janni?
                                                      Hot chocolate?
                                                        Soft music?
                                                A Course in Miracles?
                                                    A walk-a-bout?
                                                    A stretch or two?
                                                  A letting go of you?
                                                              No?”

“I think I will just dream of You.
                                             Thank you, Father.”

                                          “God night, my Love.”

Another Dream

Another  Dream

I want to go trudging in nature today
To see the deep ocean and feel its cool spray,
and Sequoia trees, so big and bold
you need ten people ‘round their trunks to hold.

I would like to lie in a field of flowers
And gaze at the sky breathing fresh air for hours.
My soul is restless for wild horses to see.
Let’s gallop along the shore and be free.

I want a warm arm around my waist
And a silent kiss to brush my face
And a hand to hold and a long embrace
that memories can never erase.

I’d like to go hiking up mountains again
And being surprised by what’s ‘round the bend.
Hot chocolate and French bread to eat by the Seine
And maybe a Frenchman to quench my yen.

I’ll ride a bicycle around Paris
And meet with poets and writers like me.
Another dream of romance and fun,
Until I wake up and find I’m undone.

And so it is

                                    And so it is

You might ask, “How does forgiveness solve anything?”
I suppose it’s only when you do it and experience the great relief from letting go of a grievance, that you understand.
When you understand, you begin to love and loving allows further forgiveness until there is everlasting peace.
So, having no more problems, forgiveness has solved everything - that never was.

You might ask, “How does faith solve anything?”
Faith is seeing my friends, family and you, my mighty companions, as innocent.
Seeing you as innocent, I have imbued faith in my innocent Self.

You might then ask, “How does the light solve anything?”
Shining the light onto the dark field of rubble
resolves any trouble
 in my mind.
Seeing only light, there are no shadows.

And so it is.
